Tinggi Island is the biggest and the highest island in Johor. It is surrounded by many small islands. The beauty in Tinggi Island is extremely extraordinary more than you can imagine. The beautiful view of the greenish forest can be seen obviously from Sibu Island. The beach is crystal clear in blue turquoise color that can mesmerize who ever look at it. Tinggi Island is located at East-Coast of the South China Sea, around 20 nautical miles (37km) southeast of Mersing, Johor and 11 nautical miles (19km) from Tanjung Leman. The nearest   location to the resort is through Tanjung Leman Jetty. Tourists can park vehicle at the jetty safely and ride the special speedboat which is provided by the resort. 

INTERESTING FACT

An interesting fact about Tinggi Island is its highest point from sea level rises up to 2000 feet (600 meters). Tinggi Island was formerly known as 'General Hat Island' by Chinese seamen due to its physical form. Meanwhile the strategic location made it as an important port center a long time ago.

Shaz Resort is applying Malay Tradisional concept for symbolizing Malay culture in Malaysia to the foreigners. The characteristics of chalet, traditional games and main dishes are using the concept. The unique is the way of greeting in Shaz Resort. The staffs will greet guest by using Johor style.

Situated in Pulau Tinggi, 34 km from Mersing, Shaz Resort Pulau Tinggi boasts an outdoor pool, an 850 m private beach area and a restaurant with views of the sea. There are 51 rooms, can fit 120 people at one time. It is surrounded by lush tropical greenery, the resort is only accessible via a 30-minute boat ride from Tanjung Leman Jetty.

Featuring a private veranda with seating area, the rooms come with air conditioning, a TV and electric kettle. Some rooms include a small fridge. Each room is fitted with a private bathroom offering shower facility and a hand-held bidet.

There is a 24-hour front desk, room service and a gift shop at the property.

A selection of activities such as island-hopping, snorkeling, kayak and cycling are offered in the area for guests to enjoy.
